The Summer CyberPatriot Camp gives middle and high school students training in cybersecurity critical to entrepreneurs and start-up organizations providing a path to the workforce. The 2020 grant amount is the FIRST ever awarded to TCC and is made possible thanks in part to the City of Sacramento’s - Sacramento Urban Technology Lab (SUTL) Innovation Grant.

“The Cybersecurity camp is a large step towards providing students with greater tools to positively affect their future and the futures of those around them.” shared Eugene Stevenson, TCC President and Chairman.  “TCC’s partnership with The City of Sacramento strengthens our ties to the community and enriches the bonds we share with our youth.”

According to statistics: An estimated 3.5 million cybersecurity jobs will be available but unfilled by 2021, according to predictions from Cybersecurity Ventures and other experts. It is in their efforts that TCC hopes to create a more diverse pool of local talent that can serve as a living laboratory for tech and education innovations. TCC is dedicated to the education of underprivileged youth. As a public charity and non-profit organization TCC functions to create the infrastructure for bringing the expertise and skills of community members into academically aligned modules.
